These programs offer BES students the opportunity to complete a 4-year university degree with a 1-year certificate in just 4 years (with Humber College) or with a 3-year advanced college diploma in 5 years (with Fleming College and Seneca College).

Ecosystem Management with Fleming College

Develop skills in conservation and ecological restoration. Explore the possibility of careers in park management and wetland rehabilitation. Upon successful completion of this dual credential program, students will receive their BES Honours Degree and their Advanced Diploma in Ecosystem Management Technology in just 5 years. International Development Study with Humber College

Study cross-cultural communications and resource management in an international context. Develop a career as an international specialist. Upon successful completion of the dual credential program, students receive a BES Honours Degree and a post-diploma certificate in International Development Management Studies in just 4 years. Students who intend to pursue this option must declare their intention after 1st year in the BES Honours program and must declare Environmental Politics as their Area of Concentration. Focus on water resource planning and management, transportation planning and soil testing. Prepare for work in planning, design and construction of major services and infrastructure. Upon successful completion of the dual credentials program, students receive an Honours BES Degree and a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma in just 5 years. Environmental Management & Technology with Seneca College

York’s strengths in Environmental Management lie in our broad approaches to understanding policy and management, and the social, economic, legal and political nature of environmental issues. Seneca’s strengths are in the hands-on, technical areas associated with environmental technology seen through the management of water resources and engineering through applied sciences. The Program thus provides a broader education than either institution can mount alone, emphasizing field and laboratory skills as well as skills in critical analysis, issue analysis, effective management and problem solving and independent and teamwork.
