Purpose:

The Faculty of Environmental Studies' Specialist High Skills Major Awards were
created to recognize a high school student's passion for sustainable change. Students
that have completed a SHSM program in Environment, Energy, Transportation,
Agriculture, Arts & Culture or Horticulture & Landscaping and are entering the
Bachelor in Environmental Studies program at York University for a Fall start are
eligible for these awards.

Eligibility:

  • Consideration will be automatically given to all high school
    applicants who have identified on their OUAC application to the Bachelor in Environmental
    Studies at York University, their completion of one of the SHSM programs in Environment,
    Energy, Transportation, Agriculture, Arts & Culture or Horticulture & Landscaping and
    have achieved a minimum admission average of 75%.

Criteria:

  • OUAC applications to the BES program that identify a specific SHSM program and have a minimum of 75% admission average.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Must be registered full time in the BES program

Selection Process:

  • The selection committee will review all OUAC applications to the BES program that identify a
    specific SHSM program and have a minimum of 75% admission average.

Documentation:

  • No application is required. Consideration will be automatically given to all high school
