The continual demand for environmental skills has outpaced the Canadian workforce (Eco.ca) with over 460,000 organizations are currently hiring environmental professionals.
More than 6000 Environmental Studies graduates have found their dream jobs with the helpful services of our in-house career experts! Our graduates are employed in both the private and public sector, working both locally and globally to enact change in a plethora of environmental fields.
Whether you have a passion for working in the private or public sector, continuing your education at the graduate level or even creating your own responsible and sustainable company, your BES degree will provide you with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on community experience through our internship program for credit that will help you land a successful and dynamic eco-career.

Work Placement Course
Students in the BES or CAP certificate program can complete a work placement with a community organization for credit towards their program requirements. The Environmental Studies placement is an experiential education course designed to provide our students with the opportunity to apply their classroom learning in a workplace environment. Through these placement opportunities, students will gain confidence in field- related knowledge, general employability skills, and valuable work experience. Open to Year 3 and 4 students in our program.
