The Faculty of Environmental Studies welcomes you to  visit us throughout the school year, from September to April! We will customize a day just for you that will suit your interest in our Faculty.

We offer two programs:

YES! For a day for Future Students

YES! For a day for Future Students

We welcome all applicants to our BES and MES program to visits us before
starting your degree with us! We offer you the opportunity to meet with a
current student, attend class their first or second year class, meet with
other students and peer mentors in the program, attend a special FES event
or speaker series and take an environmental campus tour. Whether you have
just a few hours or the whole day, we can customize a visit just for you!

For Future BES Students:
Visit us any day of the week, on a PA Day or during March Break!
Weekly programming includes your choice of the following class lectures:

Monday:

  • Intro to Environmental Science at 10:30am to 12:30pm
  • Environmental Politics, Justice and the Arts at 12:30pm to 2:30pm

Tuesday:

  • Environmental Management at 2:30pm to 4:30pm

Wednesday:

  • Environmental Studies at 2:30pm to 4:30pm

Thursday:

  • Taking Action Workshop at 3:30pm to 4:30pm

Friday

  • Urban & Regional Studies at 10:30am to 12:30pm
  • Environmental Writing at 10:30am to 12:30pm

YES! For a day for High Schools

The Faculty of Environmental Studies welcomes high school groups to visit
our Faculty throughout the school year. We will customize a day for you
and your students that will fit directly into the topics you are covering
in your classes.

Lectures can be developed for all grade levels (between Gr. 9 and 12) in
any of the following areas:

  • Aboriginal and Indigenous Studies
  • Biology – Plants and Animals
  • Canadian and World Issues
  • Civics – Green/Environmental Careers and Green Industries
  • Challenge and Change
  • Climate Change
  • Community Arts (Dance, Film, Visual Arts and Theatre)

  • Energy – Sustainable/Renewable Sources

  • 12:00pm: Departure or Class lunch (payment required if catering is
    requested)
