George and Helen Vari Foundation Entrance Award
Purpose:
The Honourable George and Helen Vari generously donated this award to support graduate students entering their first year of the Master in Environmental Studies program at York University. Recipients are selected based on financial need and academic merit. Recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and Ontario residents.
Eligibility:
This award is open to graduate students entering their first year of the Master in Environmental Studies Program at York University.
Criteria:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- be an Ontario resident;
- demonstrate financial need on a bursary application;
- be a student entering his/her first-year of the MES program;
- have a good academic record.
Selection process:
Based on applications received, nominations will be made by the MES Program and Admissions Subcommittee to the Research and Awards Committee for a final decision on this award.
