Evaluating low carbon technologies and best practices
The project intends to demonstrate the greenhouse gas and electricity use savings of a range of low carbon heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) technologies in the multi-unit residential building (MURB) sector. It involves a qualitative study identifying barriers presented to these technologies and strategies for mitigating them. Long-term performance monitoring of these technologies will be undertaken with the projected outputs of developing materials as well as incorporating case study results and guidance specifically designed for MURB building owners to facilitate their decision to perform retrofits for installing low carbon (HVAC) technologies.
