New Students

For newly admitted BES students entering Year 1

Congratulations on your acceptance into the Bachelor in Environmental Studies (BES) program! Part of your University experience will include managing the academic and administrative requirements for completing your degree – including scheduling your online enrolment appointment and completing the YUStart Tutorial.

YU START is a New Student Transition Program designed to support you as you make your way into and through your first year at York University. During this transitional program, you’ll enrol in courses, connect with fellow classmates, and student leaders, and become more familiar with campus life, supports and resources available to you.

I’ve just been admitted! What do I do?

Your offer of admission letter has the deadline for accepting your offer of admission. You must follow the instructions in the letter before the deadline – otherwise you risk losing your place in the program and your admission to the University.

Once you have accepted your offer of admission, you will automatically be booked for your online enrolment appointment. Once you have reviewed the online enrolment modules on YUStart, you will have the information you need to enrol in your first year courses. Please keep in mind that you cannot enroll until you have completed the enrolment modules on YUStart.
