If your initial MES application is unsuccessful, or you are admitted but do not accept your offer of admission, you may re-apply for entry in another year. Depending on how long it has been since your previous application, we may have some of the documents you submitted on file.

If it has been less than two years since your previous application

We will normally still have all your documents on file (reference letters, Statement of Interest etc). You choose whether to re-use the documents you submitted previously or to submit new versions. However, you must clearly indicate you will be submitting new versions as instructed below or else we will assume that you wish to re-use the documents you submitted previously.

How to re-apply if it has been less than two years since your previous application

• Your application must include all items on the MES Admission Requirements & How to apply page.

• You choose whether to re-use the documents you submitted previously or to submit new versions.

• You only need to submit transcripts (item 2 in the How to apply instructions) from any post-secondary educational institutions you have attended since you last applied – we will normally still have your previous transcripts.

• You must submit the online Supplemental Program Information Form (item 3 in the How to apply instructions). For question 5, you must clearly indicate:

  • that you are re-applying to the program

  • the year you previously applied

  • whether you will be submitting new versions of any of items 4-8 in the How to apply instructions and, if so, which items

    • IMPORTANT: If you do not clearly indicate you will be submitting new versions of any of items 4-8 we will assume you want us to use the documents you submitted previously

If it has been more than two years since your previous application

Your application will normally have been destroyed. However, we may still have your transcripts on file.

• Your application must include all items on the MES Admission Requirements & How to apply page.

• Contact us at fesinfo@yorku.ca to confirm whether we have your previous transcripts on file (item 2 in the How to apply instructions).

• If we have your transcripts on file, you only need to submit transcripts from any post-secondary educational institutions you have attended since you last applied.
