Description:

Funded Research Internship Opportunities

Through the generosity of the Canadian Associates of BIOS (CABIOS), we will be awarding three x 12-week research internships in 2019.  Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at Canadian universities or Canadian students enrolled at universities abroad who intend to return to Canada upon completion of their degree are eligible to apply. CABIOS has sponsored many interns from Canadian institutions including Dalhousie University, University of Victoria, University of Guelph, Trent University, Carleton University, Western University and University of Toronto.

CABIOS internships at BIOS provide students with the opportunity to design and conduct an independent research project, working with BIOS faculty mentors. Interns have the opportunity to participate in laboratory work, research cruises and/or other field work, depending on the research area.

CABIOS intern scholarships cover the cost of accommodation and meals, as well as a small stipend plus a contribution towards research expenses. Travel expenses and medical/travel insurance are not covered and are the responsibility of the student.

The application deadline for the CABIOS internship is March 15th, 2019
