The StudentMoveTO is a 3-year research and partnership project focusing on an improved understanding of the travel behaviour of 600,000 post-secondary students in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) in Ontario, Canada. The project will explore transportation patterns of post-secondary students, and the potential social and environmental influences on their travel behaviour, and the effect of students’ travel on their social well-being and urban systems. Through partnerships between students, researchers, universities, policy makers, and communities, new pathways will be created for public policy development, institutional planning and enhanced student support services.
