Hanisi first graduated from Niagara College with an Advanced Diploma in Broadcasting – Radio, Television & Film. After having worked as a freelancer videographer for a few years, he decided to pursue further education in a field where he felt he could make a positive change in the world. As a transfer student in his second year at York, Hanisi is specializing in Environmental Management with a certificate in Sustainable Energy and a minor in Japanese Studies. After he graduates he plans to live in Japan for a few years to gain enriching experience in language fluency and to work in renewable energies and environmental conservation.

Eva is in the process of completing the Urban Ecologies Certificate and Sustainable Energy certificate alongside her Environmental Studies degree. Eva chose York University because the scope of the program appealed to her and because it has a variety of courses for her to choose from in her third and fourth years. Once she graduates she plans on working for an NGO or the government

Sanya is very interested in Animal Justice and learning more about the natural environment in relation to the built environment. In the future she hopes to complete a J.D. in Law, Masters, and a PhD. She hopes to be active in the legal/political environmental community in relation to sustainable cities, renewable energy, district energy, as well as protection of ecosystems. She is currently completing the Sustainable Energy certificate which covers topics from climate change mitigation & conservation strategies, policies to actual technologies within the broad stream of renewables. In addition, she has been involved with various volunteering opportunities within the Faculty of Environmental Studies, and works as the Recruitment and Communications Assistant for the current term. Sanya has also volunteered with organizations such as Able York, Engineers without Borders, TREC Education, Evergreen Brickworks’ Farmers Market. Outside of York she is passionately involved with fitness, dance, and healthy eating.
